Tom Green County Sheriff's Office issues scam alert

SAN ANGELO, Texas — The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office issued a scam alert.

They said someone, posing as a Sergeant Ian Rook, is calling people to tell them they need to contact him "due to an urgent matter."

The phone number being used is 325-261-5595 and is not associated with any member of the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office.
