VIDEO: Tesla takes out store front pillars, narrowly misses Hamlin police dispatchers

HAMLIN, Texas — Take a look at this scary video...

A car narrowly missed two Hamlin Police Department dispatchers as it careened down the sidewalk in downtown Hamlin, Texas Wednesday.

Police Chief Bobby Evans tells us that the driver of the tesla had fallen asleep at the wheel as he was coming into town.

The chief says the driver hit the corner of city hall taking out all of the awning pillars on five store fronts.

Chief Evans says the driver was heading home to New Mexico when the crash happened.
