A driver in Texas was killed after crashing into a train and causing it to derail on Monday, officials said.

The East Montgomery County Fire Department said in a Facebook post that crews first responded to calls of a train versus a truck around 7:30 a.m. Monday morning along Highway 59. Upon arrival, crews found 16 rail cars derailed and a truck with major damage. The post includes photos from the scene which appear to show a red truck split in half.

The driver succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash, according to officials.
