Caught on Camera: Peeping Tom outside of a San Antonio apartment
SAN ANTONIO - For the past three weeks Noel Bracy has sensed that something was wrong.
"I've been feeling like someone is watching me,” Bracy said. “On top of that, I heard someone moaning outside my window."
Noel lives in a gated apartment complex near Vance Jackson and Huebner. Although she had felt safe in her apartment, her suspicions were proven correct early Monday morning.
"I saw a silhouette of his body,” Bracy said. “His shoulder was moving in a manner, that was consistent with him moaning."
Bracy believes this is the person responsible for that uneasy feeling. After this encounter on Monday, she purchased a surveillance camera to put outside her bedroom. A man was caught on camera Wednesday morning looking through her home’s window again.
“He was right about here, just looking in,” said Bracy pointing to her apartment window. “When I caught him the first time, he was actually down here.”
The surveillance video showed one man looking inside Bracy's home. After a few seconds, he appeared to notice the camera and walked away.
"I don't feel safe,” Bracy said. “I don't feel safe for my 6-year-old daughter, who also has an outside facing window. It's really sad because I don't feel safe in my own home. I don't think any woman should have to go through that."
Less than 10 minutes after the man appeared on camera, the video recording went black. Bracy said the man seen on camera, went around the other side of her home to steal it.
"He came back around my balcony to unplug it first, so he wouldn't be caught,” Bracy said. “He removed the camera. We didn't catch him when he was committing the theft."
The man on tape has not been identified. However, Bracy wants to warn others who have that same anxious feeling.
"There have been multiple girls that have reached out to me, that say they've been feeling the same thing,” Bracy said. “If he's doing this to multiple women, or even children, he needs to be caught."
