Police ID intruder who was shot, killed at San Angelo apartment complex

SAN ANGELO, Texas – Police have identified the 26-year-old man who allegedly intruded and was shot and killed Monday by a resident of a San Angelo apartment complex.

Killed was Jaime Mendoza, San Angelo police said in a news release Tuesday.

The attempted burglary allegedly occurred at a residence in the Village Apartments (200 block of South Fillmore Street).

Police, upon arrival, found Mendoza dead.

The 19-year-old San Angelo man who allegedly shot Mendoza wasn’t injured.

No charges have been filed against the teen.
