San Angelo-native gets golden ticket from 'American Idol' judges

Kyra Hunter Constancio shows off her golden ticket on Facebook.

Her audition did not make the cut for TV, but San Angelo’s Kyra Hunter Constancio made the cut that counts and she is “going to Hollywood!”

Sunday night, Hunter revealed on Facebook that she got a yes from all three "American Idol" judges and that coveted golden ticket.

"Feelin’ like Willie Wonka up in here!," Constancio said. "Katy Perry held my hands & said she liked my “vibes”, Luke gave me a “hell yeah!” & Lionel was a total sweetie so I can die a happy chick now."

Up next for Constancio is what's known as "Hollywood Week." That is where "Idol" hopefuls battle it out in solo and group performances at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
