A 16-year-old male is being blamed for a four-vehicle crash on Friday night on Loop 322 that severely injured an Abilene woman.

According to police, the teenager, who was on his way home from work, was headed east on Loop 322. Just before 11 p.m, police said that he "made a sharp movement," and his white 2002 Nissan Maxima crossed the center median and hit a red Ford F-150 in the westbound lanes at the Hill Street exit.

The F-150 spun and was then hit by a silver Chevrolet pickup.

The Maxima also collided with a maroon 2006 Ford Fusion.

The driver of the F-150, a 30-year-old female, was taken to Hendrick Medical Center with life-threatening injuries and police said that she was in critical condition as of 2:15 a.m.
