Cowboys Ezekiel Elliott investigated in Dallas bar incident, per source

The issues keep on stacking up for Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott, as yet another possible run in with the law has surfaced from over the weekend.

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott was spotted during a "late-night altercation" at Clutch Bar in Uptown Dallas, however his involvement is unknown.

A source told Dallas Police that Elliott was responsible for assaulting a man, who admitted later he was drunk and didn't't see the person who did it. The man suffered a broken nose in the altercation.

A friend close to Elliott reveled that Elliott was not seen near the gentleman who was involved in the altercation. DPD continues to investigate the incident, on the heels of Cowboys training camp which begins this weekend.

First Story:

Sources revealed to ESPN on Monday, that Elliott was involved in a late night altercation at an Uptown Dallas bar Sunday night.

Dallas Police confirmed in a report that a 30-year-old man was physically assaulted at Clutch Bar, but could not identify who assaulted him.

There were no arrests made in connection to the assault, but social media revealed Elliott may have assaulted the man, who was treated at the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The NFL has begun an investigation into the matter, and while Elliott may not be involved, it's not a good look for last year's rookie rushing record holder - who's already facing a possible suspension from the league after last July's sexual assault allegation against him.

Zeke was expected to respond to the NFL's findings this week in that investigation, adding this latest run-in to a shaky timeline for the now-second year veteran.

Prior to his first preseason game last August, Elliott was spotted at a Marijuana dispensary. Cowboys' owner and general manager Jerry Jones was not pleased

"In general, while it may not be wrong, it's just not good," Jones said of Elliott's visit. "I don't want to say anymore.

In March of this year, Zeke was then caught on camera in a viral video that showed him revealing a woman's breast in public at a Dallas rooftop bar during a St. Patrick's Day Parade.

Then, after a charity event in May, Elliott missed some of OTA's with soreness after being a passenger in a minor vehicle crash. It was following that incident when Elliott vowed to "Stay out of the way" during the offseason

That leads up to earlier this month, when Elliott received the findings of the NFL's investigation into last July's allegation that he sexually assaulted his former girlfriend. No charges were handed down, but Elliott could face a one or two game suspension by the league.

But with this latest incident on his record, it's going to be a rocky start to the preseason for the 2016 No. 4 pick.
