Presidential candidate Julian Castro announced a pledge to visit every state in the United States during his presidential campaign.

"Over the course of my campaign, I will visit every state in our nation to hear directly from you," Castro said. "When I’m President, everyone will count."

Castro visited 40 states as the United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development under President Barack Obama. The former San Antonio Mayor has already traveled to Puerto Rico, along with several other states, including New Hampshire, California, Arizona, Florida and his home state of Texas.
