OHP: Man pulls driver from burning FedEx truck after Oklahoma crash
AWNEE COUNTY, Okla. — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a man is in the hospital after a serious crash in Pawnee County.
Troopers responded around 6:45 a.m. to a crash on westbound U.S. 412 near mile marker 40.5. A truck carrying an oversized load was on the side of the highway when a FedEx truck veered over to the side of the road and clipped the semi on the driver's side.
OHP says the FedEx truck rolled into the middle of the highway and caught fire before it ended up in a ditch. The driver of the semi jumped out and went to the burning vehicle to pull out the driver, who was on fire, according to OHP.
Troopers say the driver of the FedEx truck was flown to a Tulsa hospital with severe burns. They did not say if he is expected to survive his injuries.
One lane of the highway is open as crews work to clear the area.
