NEW CANEY, Texas (AP) - A Crosby man has been charged in connection with a hit-and-run accident in New Caney that caused a motorcycle rider's death.

The Houston Chronicle reports that 34-year-old Eric Brian Ellison faces a felony charge of involvement in an accident that caused death.

Investigators say the suspect's SUV failed to yield the right of way when it turned into the path of 18-year-old Tamon Willis' motorcycle.

Authorities say the SUV driver left the injured victim lying on a dark road. A pickup truck driven by a third person was unable to stop before hitting Willis, who died at the scene.
