SAN ANGELO, Texas — San Angelo police are investigating an aggravated assault incident that occurred this past January 8th.
According to a press release, officers arrived to 1425 W. Beauregard to find a 42-year-old man suffering from extensive injuries to his lower body. He was transported to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries.
Further investigations revealed that 40-year-old Blanca Cajas struck the man with a vehicle and fled the scene before officers arrived. The victim was stuck between Cajas vehicle and a wooden fence.
Cajas was detained in the 200blk of East 24th street. She was taken into custody for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Cajas is currently being held in the Tom Green County Jail.
Another subject, 40-year-old Jose Lopez was arrested at the scene for Interference with Public Duties while medics were trying to aid the victim.
Officials say additional charges may be possible.
