Easter Sunday: Case Keenum tells Abilene parishioners of his relationship with God

Denver Broncos quarterback Case Keenum

Easter Sunday brought many worshipers to Beltway Park Church's South Campus, including an NFL quarterback from Abilene who led his previous football team to the NFC Championship Game and a 14-4 combined regular season and postseason record this past football season.

Former starting quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings and Wylie High School graduate Case Keenum came back to the church he attended while growing up in Abilene and spoke to the congregation assembled at the church's Easter Sunday service.

During the sermon he gave, Keenum told the attendees of the church service about his Christian faith and his relationship with God.

"If you have a joy that's full and complete, it's eternal, then you do know why it's better than the Minnesota Miracle, I mean that moment was great it was, but my relationship with Jesus is better,” Keenum said.

Keenum signed a 2-year, $36 million contract with the Denver Broncos to become their franchise's new starting quarterback last month.
