Cooper's Caleb Freeman drafted by Chicago White Sox

Abilene, TX — Former Cooper Cougar, Caleb Freeman, was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 15th round of the 2019 Major League Baseball draft.

The 440th overall pick has spent the past three years at Texas Tech filling in with a relief pitching role.

Freeman and the Red Raiders continue their post season play in the College World Series Super Regional round, hosting Oklahoma State on Friday at 2 p.m.
