Albany beats Hamlin in another thriller, advances to state semifinals

The Albany Lions took down Hamlin for the second time this season -- this one in a Class 2A Division II regional final, 41-28, at Shotwell Stadium on Thursday night.
Albany (9-5) advances to play Gruver in the state semifinals, while Hamlin's season ends with a 12-2 mark. Both of the Pipers' losses this year came against the Lions.
