Eight Cooper football players land on All-District 1st Team

Following a 6-6 season and an area round finish, many Cooper football players were honored on the All-District 2-5A Division I teams.

Sophomore Brady Miller was named the district's Defensive Newcomer of the Year. Miller grabbed eight interceptions -- tying the Cooper school record for a single season.

Eight others landed on the All-District First Team, including running backs Noah Garcia and Xavier Wishert, and linebackers Aeneas Favors and Tavian Bonds.

Thirteen more Cougars were listed on the All-District Second Team.
