Wylie High School head baseball coach Clay Martin hit a milestone over the weekend by earning his 600th career win during a home tournament.

Martin, who has coached at Wylie for 25 years, was presented with a plaque in the shape of home plate commemorating the honor.

Martin has taken the Bulldogs to seven state tournaments, including the past three Class 4A state tournaments in a row.

Wylie won the 2016 and 2017 state titles, the first baseball titles in school history, and became the first team to win back-to-back baseball championships in 14 years.

Martin was also inducted into the Hardin-Simmons Athletic Hall of Fame in the fall of 2017.
