And so it begins.

The 2017-18 NBA season is over after the Cleveland Cavaliers were swept by the Golden State Warriors in the 2018 NBA Finals. Now begins the wait for LeBron James' decision on his future NBA plans and his impending free agency.

Will he remain with the Cavs? Will he take his talents somewhere else? Are the San Antonio Spurs on his radar?

Everyone will know soon enough but Spurs' Gregg Popovich isn't about to sit by and miss out on a shot at convincing LeBron to come to South Texas.

In an article from New York Time's NBA reporter Mark Stein, he reports that Popovich is set to force his way into the LeBron sweepstakes and make a case for San Antonio.

I’ve also been advised that the ever-persuasive San Antonio Spurs Coach Gregg Popovich is bound to try to force his way into the conversation to sell James on the merits of South Texas.

By now everyone knows of the strong bond between Pop and James.

James respects Pop and the feeling is mutual.

In addition, James spoke about the Spurs following the Game 3 loss to the Warriors, showering the team with praise. Players, such as ex-Spur Tracy McGrady, are saying James should go to San Antonio and Dejounte Murray made it clear he wants to see James in silver and black.

All this does is stoke the flames at the possibility, however slim, at James in a Spurs uniform.

James did not touch on his future plans too much following Game 4 but one thing is for sure, "The Decision Part 3" will have everyone tuned in.
